Refrigeration
goes Continental

Refrigeration, based in Canada, announced that they have recently shipped
their first one-piece systems overseas. McCain Foods has purchased

Refrigeration Systems for their new storages in Harbin China.

Gene Stampfer, President of

Refrigeration stated that "it is an honor to ship refrigeration from North America to China, a country that could
no doubt produce something at a lower cost. The fact that McCain chose to ship

's
one-piece systems is a testament to how well they work and how easy they are to install. Since they are complete
systems, there is little room for error installing them at the destination."

Mr. Stampfer says

is in talks with more potential international customers and hope to ship more systems to customers
around the world. Many countries prefer the quality they receive from a product built in North
America.

New
Design Controls
Carbon Dioxide Levels in your storage AND keeps your potatoes cool!

is pleased to
announce another new feature for potato storages in their unique one-piece refrigeration designs.
A controlled supply of fresh air can now be added directly into the recirculating air stream via a
fresh air duct incorporated into the

design. Carbon
dioxide levels can be managed with the same system that keeps the potato storage cool. The fresh air
system can either be tied into a ventilation control panel equipped with a carbon dioxide sensor, or

can supply an independent
sensor with high/low limit CO2 controls.
By supplying fresh air through the

Refrigeration System, you do not have to open the air intake
door to flush carbon dioxide out of the storage. The New

design eliminates the need to cut yet
another opening in the potato storage, since you won't need to purchase an additional and expensive air
exchanger.
If outside temperatures drop below freezing, a heating element automatically warms up the incoming fresh
air, so the potatoes won't experience a temperature shock. The New

fresh air design has the ability
to supply fresh air into the recirculating air stream regardless of whether the refrigeration system is
operating.
An added benefit of storage refrigeration has recently been demonstrated. If potatoes are too wet going
into storage, or if problems arise in the storage that you need to remove moisture, the

Refrigeration System can be operated and it will act as a large dehumidifier, removing large amounts of
free water . This is yet another advantage to having a

refrigeration system in your potato storage.

One Piece Designs
for illustrations depicting the Fresh Air Designs.
